Understanding anti-wrinkle treatments

Anti-wrinkle treatments are one of the most common procedures, but they’re often misunderstood. The aim isn’t to remove all movement. It’s to soften lines while keeping expression.

These treatments work by relaxing targeted muscles. This reduces the repetitive movements that cause lines to deepen over time. Areas commonly treated include the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet.

Results don’t appear immediately. Most people start to notice a change within a few days, with full results developing over 10 to 14 days. This is why a review appointment can be useful, allowing small adjustments if needed.

A natural result depends on dose and placement. Too much product or poor technique can lead to a heavy or frozen look. Done properly, movement remains. You can still express emotion, just without the stronger lines.

Longevity varies, but results typically last around three to four months. With consistent treatment, some people find they need less over time as the muscles become trained to relax.

The key is using it as a tool for refinement, not transformation.
